2024 Flotilla Event Guide
Dates; Meet at ACI Marina, Sprit, Oct 5, 1500. Dismissal and boat checkout is October 12, 0800. ( Croatia / SPLIT / ACI Marina (Map Link).
Requirements for participation: All participants will board the vessel as crew members, not as guests. All participants are expected to participate in boathandling activities according to their knowledge and skill level. If you are a complete beginner, please take the ISPA Competent Crew online course to acquire a minimum of knowledge and understanding of sailing skills (no actual sailing experience is required).
No training; This is not a training or certification cruise, while guidance and direction will be provided, no certification evaluation will be taking place during the flotilla.

Accommodation; You will be accommodated on the vessel while on the flotilla. Two people will share one cabin. If you are alone, you will share with one other person. If you wish to occupy a cabin by yourself, you may occupy the bow cabin (slightly smaller than stern cabin) for 150% of the price, but this is subject to availability.
Meals during the course; Before sailing, participants will shop for and load groceries under the supervision of the skipper (instructor) of each boat (food costs will be shared by the participants). As a rule, breakfast and lunch will be cooked on board, and dinner will be served at a restaurant in each harbour or cooked on board if desired. Alcoholic beverages are to be purchased at your own expense.
Linens and bedding; Sheets, pillows, pillowcases, and comforters are provided as bedding, as well as face and bath towels. Those who may be cold are advised to bring a compact summer sleeping bag.
Showers; Showers are available at the marina where the ship stops along the way. As a rule, onboard showers are not available (water conservation). It is advisable to bring flip-flops to the marina in case you need to go to the shower rooms.
Prohibited activities: Drinking alcohol while underway, excessive drinking while at overnight at harbour or anchorage, and no smoking on board.
Health; Please inquire if you have any health issues. If you do not have any major health problems, you may participate in the tour.
Climate: In October, the average temperature in the vicinity of the host city is 15-20°C (59-86°F), but it varies slightly from year to year. The water temperature is 20-23 degrees Celsius, and swimming is possible on sunny days.
Travel Bag; No hard suitcases are allowed. Roller bags are allowed as long as the contents can be removed and flattened.
Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing suitable for the weather. Long sleeves are essential as the wind at sea can be chilly. Underwear is sufficient for 3 days. (You can stop at a marina with a laundry on the way to wash your clothes), woolen hat, brimmed hat, polarized sunglasses, sun cream, toiletries, water bottle, portable bidet (manual), top and bottom sailing jacket, gloves, light trekking shoes with good waterproof properties are recommended, so you can walk on land.
PFDs (life jackets); the keyhole type life jackets on board are bulky, so it is recommended that you bring your own inflatable life jacket.
Travel insurance: Please purchase general travel insurance.
Payment Schedule; Deposit U$1,000 at application, Balance due Sep 05.
Cancellation ; Cancellations prior to September 5, 2024 will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the registration fee, and cancellations after September 6, 2024 will incur a cancellation fee of 100% of the registration fee. However, in either case, if another participant shows up, the cancellation fee will be 15% of the registration fee.
Travel Arrangement ; Please do not make travel arrangements until Flotilla's execution has been determined. You will be notified once the event has been decided upon.
Cancellation of Flotilla; If Flotilla is cancelled, the deposit paid will be fully refunded.
Desision date; The decision on whether or not Flotilla will be executed will be communicated on or before July 31. This decision may also be made on a boat-by-boat basis.
