The San Juan Islands are an archipelago in the Pacific Northwest of the United States between the U.S. state of Washington and Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada. The San Juan Islands are part of Washington state, and form the core of San Juan County.

The Gulf Islands are a group of islands located in the Salish Sea between Vancouver Island and the mainland coast of British Columbia.

Southeast Alaska, sometimes called the Alaska Panhandle is the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Alaska. It is west of the northern half of the Canadian province of British Columbia. A lot of the panhandle is part of the Tongass National Forest, which is the biggest national forest in the United States. This part of Alaska is known for its mild rainy climate and beautiful scenery.
